Costco is one of the best places to shop, why? They have everything that usually comes at an amazing price! That is why when we received a call from Costco we were glad we could finally help them instead of them helping us! Unfortunately for them they had a sewage over flow that was causing problems in the tire shop and break room. We removed all the standing water and began removing the affected drywall. Why did we have to remove the drywall instead of dry? Whenever there is a sewage issue it is always considered CAT 3 water no matter how “clear” the water is. What is CAT 3? CAT 3 is how we describe water that contains chemical, physical, or biological contaminates. For example, think about your toilet. We must use the restroom, in order to keep our toilets clean we use bleach or other chemicals, does that sound like water you want flowing through your home? Of course not! All those pollutants can easily lodge themselves on drywall, carpet, wood flooring and any porous material. That is why we recommend removal instead of drying. If you have been to the Costco off Hayden, you can probably see where we were/are working. We removed anything that may have had Cat 3 water on it and are now in the process of rebuilding.
